What is OxyContin?

OxyContin is a brand name for the prescription pain medication oxycodone hydrochloride. OxyContin Side Effects

OxyContin is an opioid with a high risk of adverse effects, including the most severe risks of addiction, abuse, misuse, and life-threatening respiratory depression (slowed or stopped breathing). The risk is particularly high if the tablet is crushed or dissolved, overriding the controlled-release mechanism.
